Joe Shananan posted a beginners tutorial series on Anime Studio in 2009. It is based on Anime Studio Pro 5 but still useful to give a general  introduction to cartoon animation with Anime Studio.

The first part just introduces the program and its user interface: Drawing Area, Toolbar, Timeline, Layers, Style Window:
